Fishing report heading into the holiday weekend!
Water temps have risen up to that 55-60 degree temp on most area lakes , with all the rain we’ve had this week it will most certainly kick off those bug hatches when the sun is out… We are still catching plenty of fish pitching jigs and shiners but with the bug hatches going on the leech and crawler bite is starting to heat up.
-Using live bait rigs with a variety of leeches , crawlers and minnows cover water along new growth weed edges, rocks and transition areas from .4- .8 mph
-Sharpshooting fish using your electronics with slip bobbers or drop shots in the same areas but working them much slower
If not getting action just keep moving and fishing new pods until you find active fish , a lot of times the fish can get gorged during a bug hatch because so much easy food is available to them. Bite windows are key!
Have a safe weekend and tight lines
Still have some June availability but slim pickins so call to book!
